The European Military Christian Meeting (EMCM)

Dear AMCF Family and Friends,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We invite you to SAVE THE DATE for our next international European Military Christian Meeting in Želiv monastery, Czech Republic. We have booked for 18th – 21st May 2023, arriving by Thursday evening in
time for supper and leaving after Sunday lunch. If you are unable to arrive until Friday then do still plan to come! Just let us know.

God has used these gatherings very much in the past to create mutually-supportive networks amongst European military Christians of all denominations. Our aim remains to support, energise and resource you as people of faith serving as leaders in your own national militaries, and for us all to be refreshed in worship, fellowship, food and fun. We will share in bible teaching and prayer, with time in small groups to learn from and support each other as well as to enjoy the lovely countryside around Želiv. Regrettably there is no children’s programme. You won’t need uniform but do please bring your own Bible and notebook. We trust and pray you will leave relaxed in both body and mind, and inspired in your spirit!

We believe the Lord wants us to focus on deepening our discipleship using a theme of ‘Sit, Walk, Stand’, based on Ephesians. We would also love to be encouraged by what God is doing among you all so if you wish to prepare a short report to share then please let us know.

If you are at all interested in attending, please respond by 15th December, even if your plans for 2023 cannot yet be confirmed. Do seek official permission early, where you need to, but please also use our registration page now at EMCM 2023 Initial Interest: it will help our early planning. Official invitations will be sent in February 2023. The charge will be around €160.00 per person, full board, but you also need to consider the cost for travelling to the venue and a visa, if required. The conference language will be English and, depending on replies, we may provide limited translation services in Russian.

If you or your MCF could help provide financial assistance for those less able to fund themselves, Mark at MMI (headoffice@mmi.org.uk) and Bernhard (deputy@accts.org) of ACCTS would love to hear from you, and anyone needing financial support should contact them. Please also tell them if you need a more personalized invitation in order to obtain a visa; Schengen visa invitations need to be organised from within the Czech Republic so you need to take account of the time to arrange that through our kind hosts, AKA, the Czech MCF. We look forward very much to seeing you all in Želiv!
